Welcome to The Little Green Cottage! I’m Jaci. Reader. Author. Blogger. Lover of the color black, all things home decor, and DIY. I’m a 28-year-old mother of a wild, crazy, and sweet 5-year-old boy. I have a lovely fiancé named Tyson, we’re going on seven years and I love him, even when I want to strangle him. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, on the coast of Washington, the rainiest place EVER. We bought our little green cottage/craftsman two years ago and we’ve been updating, adding, and subtracting things to it ever since. It was built in 1914. It has great character and bones. It’s the perfect fit. But with age comes cracks and creaks and it needed some love and updating, which I was and still am excited to do. We’re working on it a little every day. I’ve always had a love and appreciation for all things home decor and DIY. Pretty things make me happy. Like really happy. And where better the share that than on a blog dedicated to the two, plus a little life style thrown in there. I’ve recently found a love for wood accents and a vintage feel to my home decor. Add a touch of glam and vase or three of flowers, and you get my style. Oh and we can’t forget a little farmhouse/industrial flare in there too, because it’s lovely. Okay lets face it, I really don’t know exactly what I love, because my style is forever changing. That is were this blog comes in. It’s a place to explore my style, gab about home decor and DIY with fellow lovers of the two and share my life and love with others. On top of being new to blogging I’m a full time author when I’m not painting, renovating, or decorating. Romance is where it is at. With 5 books under my belt and 6th on it’s way, I’m slowly but surely learning the ropes as an indie author.
